How it works

Real clicks, one set of rules

SERPcred publishes Google Search clicks for websites whose owners connect Search Console and choose to make their totals public. Every site follows the same rules.

  1. 1

    Connect

Sign in with Google and pick a domain property. Access is read-only.

  2. 2

    Sync daily

Each day's totals, once Google has finalized them.

  3. 3

    Rank

The same windows and tie-breaks for every site.

  4. 4

    Share

A profile, a badge and a card with the verified numbers.

What SERPcred reads

Reads

  • Daily total clicks, impressions and average position from Google web search, for the domain properties you choose to publish.
  • Finalized data only. Google’s most recent days can still change, so they’re left out until they’re final.
  • The list of properties in your account and your permission level for each, to check which ones can be listed.

Never reads

Search queries, page URLs, countries, devices or any other part of your reports.

SERPcred asks Google for read-only access to Search Console. It can’t change settings, submit sitemaps or add users. You can remove access at any time from your Google Account permissions.

2

The reporting window

Every window is the same for every site and ends three days ago in Pacific Time, the time zone Google reports in, because Google finalizes each day 2–3 days later. The default is 28 days; 7 days and 3 months (90 days) work the same way.

A sample site, day by day Today, 27 Oct
28-day window
27 Sep – 24 Oct: 3,876 clicks
Not final yet
25 Oct – 27 Oct: left out until Google settles them
Before the window
Tomorrow the window moves one day: 25 Oct joins and 27 Sep drops out.

3

Top clicks

Total clicks in the window. Ties go to more impressions, then to whoever published first. Below, four sample sites start in the order they joined and sort into the board.

A sample board, 28 days
  1. 1 Fernway Notes 4,210
  2. 2 Parcel Pilot 2,980 61,000 impr.
  3. 3 Tidy Ledger 2,980 48,500 impr.
  4. 4 Kiln & Co. 1,150

Tidy Ledger joined before Parcel Pilot, but they tie on 2,980 clicks and Parcel Pilot had more impressions, so it ranks higher. Join order only decides a tie on both.

4

Fastest growing and the growth floor

Percentage change against the window before it, for sites with enough clicks in that previous window. Without a floor, a site going from 10 clicks to 100 would beat everyone at +900%.

CTR and average position

Shown on every profile, but never ranked.

CTR

Clicks divided by impressions.

2,100 clicks ÷ 42,000 impressions = 5.0%

Average position

Each day weighted by its impressions, the way Search Console does it.

DayPositionImpressions
13.030,000
29.010,000

(3.0 × 30,000 + 9.0 × 10,000) ÷ 40,000 = 4.5

Not 6.0, the plain average: the busier day counts for more.

Who can list, and how

One listing per domain
Only domain properties (covering the whole site) can be listed. When a second account manages a listed domain, it can claim the listing and we settle it by hand.
Who can list
A verified owner or full user of the property who confirms they own the site or have the owner's written permission.
Anonymous listings
An owner can show a site under an alias such as "Anonymous site A7K2". Its numbers are verified and ranked by the same rules; only its name, domain, icon and owner are kept private, and we still know them.
Join number
Each site's place in the order sites were first published ("the 213th site on SERPcred"). It never changes and is never reused, and anonymous listings don't show it.
Freshness
Each profile shows its reporting window and last sync. A site that hasn't synced for 7 days is paused from the boards.

What a SERPcred number proves

It proves

The clicks were reported by Google Search Console for that property, under the rules above.

It doesn’t prove

Unique visitors, total traffic, revenue, that every click was human, or that a particular person or agency caused the growth.

SERPcred is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
